Introduction:
Nankhoo Consulting Engineers have been appointed by the KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) Department of Transport (Head Office) for the design and supervision of the Upgrade of Main Road 179 (Km 5.170 to Km 9.525) within the Estcourt area. The project includes the upgrade of the existing gravel surface with the respective layerworks, provision of additional stormwater management measures, the upgrading of existing stormwater structures, road safety measures and appropriate signage along the length of road.
