As the year drew to a close – the anticipation and festive cheer around the company heightened amongst the employees of Nankhoo Consulting Engineers. It was time to celebrate, be festive, look back on the years’ achievements and memories and embrace the new things to come.
Year-end functions allow companies to reward their employees for their hard work during the year and also allow for team building and interaction between senior and junior staff that might not have been possible in the work place. For many employees the year-end function marks the start of the festive season. This year Nankhoo Consulting Engineers treated their employees to an overnight stay at Drakensburg, one of the most breath-taking and scenic destinations that KZN has to offer.
The year 2016 has been a very eventful year for Nankhoo Consulting Engineers. There were many new projects that started off. En route to the Hotel employees were treated to a site visit of two of the company’s current projects, Busingatha Pedestrian Bridge and Sandspruit River Bridge. This was an opportunity for many of our office staff to see the works of the company. The employees thoroughly enjoyed and ravelled in every minute of the experience.
Staff where delighted to stay at the glamorous and elegant Mont Aux Sources Hotel. Upon arrival at the Hotel, everyone was taken by the serenity of their beautiful surroundings. The day’s events commenced with some team building activities. A selection of games entertained everyone thoroughly and made way for the start of a wonderful night ahead.
With the mountains behind us and the rustic western vibe in the atmosphere, the theme for the function was set to Western Cowboy. Employees took on the theme with great excitement and enthusiasm. Line dances and karaoke entertained the crowd. The flow of music in the air with the twinkling of the fairy lights heightened the ambience of the evening. The night was spectacular and astounding, one that everyone will remember. We look forward to seeing what 2017 brings.
