The site, for the completion of Bridge no. 3545 over the Nkunzi River, is situated in the Ladysmith Local Municipality (KZ 232), 35km northeast of the town of Ladysmith. The Bridge design aims to replace the original structure (pre-2016), which had lost its structural integrity and did not meet standard specifications regarding the deck thickness and the supports of the carriageway.
